Smeg Washing Machine Drum Bearing & Seal Kit00619809

The bearings had gone on the washing machine and I didn’t want to pay for a new machine. I’m a complete novice, but watched a couple of how to video’s and took the plunge. It was a big job, (mostly in disassembly) but straightforward enough. Knocking out the old bearing set was the hardest thing. The new bearing set and tub seal fitted perfectly. With everything back together I started the washing machine up and it worked. No leaks and quiet operation, compared to the graunching noises beforehand. I’m pleased as punch.

Kit arrived on date as confirmed by very helpful customer support agent. Sealed bearings, grease and drum seal all as expected. Fitted replacing the very very rusty and badly worn noisy bearings without issue and drum sealed perfectly. A perfect solution to the hard worked washing machine that had started to mimic an aircraft on take off, now quiet again. Happy Days.

Does what bearings are made for, easy to put in and works like bearings so no noise from my washing machine any more, great result. My old bearings were really gone so quite difficult to remove but having a bearing puller made it much easier having got them to move initially they came out fine.

This is one for an experienced diy fanatic. Nothing too difficult but a time consuming job; stripping and re-assembling the drum.

All parts were correct and fitted perfectly, they were of good quality
