Check compatibility with your model number
This product was nothing like the original components which I’ve discovered have been discontinued. (I don’t know whether that would apply to your model). However, to make matters worse, the thermostat is supplied with a rigid plastic lamp holder/adaptor which is not the same as the one in the product pictured. i therefore spent a week rooting around to try and find replacement products identical to mine, as there was no way the one supplied would fit in the housing. Unless…you bend it first! Yes…unless you “bend” the rigid plastic component! You will see in the product picture how the end opposite the lamp holder is at right angles to the rest of the plastic component. How can this be when it is supplied rigid and straight? Well there are two “fold lines” where the plastic is much thinner, the main one where the right-angle “fold” is seen in the product picture. You have to bend it along this apparently rigid line, and it does give to enable you to do this. And although it is not shown as bent in the illustration, I also had to fold the small projection which has three electrical connections, situated to one side of the plastic body, to change its orientation to be at a right-angle to the rest of the body too (a wired connector from the fridge freezer clips onto it on my model) or it would have been too wide to fit into the thermostat’s plastic housing.
Ordered and fitted 10 months ago, still going strong.
Bought this to repair my 10 year old fridge freezer saving me upwards of £350. Found a video on YouTube and completed the job in 20 minutes. Result. Thank you.
Great service and will definitely use random spares again
How is the thermostat actually removed. All videos I've seen remove the knob, release the nut, and unscrew the housing. None of these is possible on the LP355. Does it clip in, I just don't want to force it and break it.
Hi Alan, unfortunately we aren't able to give fitting or technical advice. I'd recommend contacting an engineer or the manufacturers directly to see if they are able to help.
Does this part include the lighting fitting also attached per the picture. Thanks
Hi David, I can confirm this thermostat comes with the lamp housing as per the image.
